Hackathon

Join the competition and get a chance to showcase your application and win some of the prize money.

Meet the Community

TADHack is your chance to put into practice everything you’ll have learned at the conference and from the webinars before the event.  We hope you form some lasting partnerships in bringing your ideas to life!  We’ll have the people who created the tools and technology you’ll be using at TADHack for you to talk with and learn.  And developer communities that can help bring your innovations to market.

You’ll be joining forces with a host of other passionate Telecom App Developers to create something unique and possibly win some of the $25,000 in prize money and over $5,000 in prizes.

Innovate and Create

You can work on your ideas before the event, and generate ideas at the event from all the networking.  We’re not forcing you to work through the night; you can work at home on an idea and present it on Saturday.  We know for many developers with families it’s hard to take a whole weekend away, so we’re making it just the Saturday.

We’ll be running webinars on the development themes before the event, so you have a chance to think up ideas beforehand, so there’s no pressure during the event. We would prefer you have fun, network, and discover lots of exciting possibilities made possible through TADHack.

Remote Hackathon Submission

For those attending TADHack in Madrid or at a TADHack Satellite location you’ll be able to pitch your hack live and we will record it. If you are entering remotely, make sure you’ve registered for the Hackathon first, so you’re on the list. Then create a video demo of your hack, upload to YouTube, and submit. The maximum length is 5 mins. Please include the following information:

  • Name: Developer name or team name and names of all the team members
  • Location: Where are you and the team from? TADHack is a global event and we want to show telecom application developers exist all around the world. We want to promote you!
  • Title: What you call the hack, a brief once sentence description.
  • APIs used: Name the sponsor APIs or platforms you’ve used, e.g. Apidaze, hSenid Mobile, Huawei, Google, Nexmo, Oracle, Solaiemes, Telestax, Tropo, Truphone, Ubuntu/Canoncial, Humanitarian Theme. This is critical as each of the sponsors have prizes to award, so you want them taking notice of your hack as you pitch it.

Describe and Demo the hack however you like, from simple screen walk-throughs to a little acting, whatever you feel comfortable giving. Its the idea that is judged not its presentation.

Please submit the video before end of day (Europe) on Friday June 6th. We’ll be working on a first come first served basis, so the earlier you submit the earlier you’ll be in the running order when we stream the remote hacks live from Madrid.

A few pointers: present in English; talk slowly and clearly as some of the judges have English as a second language; have fun; upload the video to YouTube and send the link to info@tadhack.com.
